Every year, we organize a three-day trip to Tallahassee, during which a delegation of community members, partners, and staff members meet with elected officials to discuss the issues of greatest concern to the communities we serve. Participants of Catalyst to the Capital (C2C) attend training, meet with legislators, and hold a press conference.
Our next Catalyst to the Capital trip has not been scheduled yet. Sign up if you'd like to get updated when applications open, or check back here for more info later!
Being a C2C Fellow provides an opportunity to advocate on behalf of yourself, your family, and your community. This experience also provides space to interact with government officials in Miami and Tallahassee, joining a network of activists and committed community leaders with a shared interest in improving the well-being of Miami-Dade residents. The three-day bus trip includes travel to and from Tallahassee, hotel, and meals.
Each Fellow is required to pay a refundable participation fee* based on the date of registration.
*Deposits will be refunded after trip completion. Deposits will be not be refunded if registrants do not attend the C2C trip.
