Wealth & Credit Building Initiatives

We help South Florida residents achieve financial security through the following free services and programs.

Financial coaching and education

To assist clients in achieving their financial goals, we help them develop personalized financial plans and better understand the services and options available to them.

Credit coaching

We teach clients how credit is measured and assist them with developing good credit behaviors and practices.
We provide our clients with free credit reports, which are used for education purposes only.

FAFSA assistance

We guide eligible students and their families through the FAFSA application filing process
and help them with education planning.

IRS tax assistance

We assist individuals that earn $66,000 or less with tax preparation services and counseling.
We assist clients with filing taxes, amendments, and other tax-related needs.

People who prepare their own tax returns are among the fastest growing segments of taxpayers. Step-by-step interview questions in the MyFreeTaxes tax software make it easier than ever for people to prepare their own tax returns.

Lending Circles (credit building program)

In partnership with Mission Asset Fund, we offer zero-interest, cost-free loans and report loan payments to credit bureaus, helping borrowers establish and build credit.

Basic Needs Services

We assist eligible clients with applying for public benefits:

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low-income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. Households can use SNAP benefits to buy breads and cereals; fruits and vegetables; meats, fish, and poultry; and dairy products. We can help you determine if you are eligible.

Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA)

The TCA program provides cash assistance to families with children under the age of 18 or under age 19 if full time secondary (high school) school students, that meet the technical, income, and asset requirements. The program helps families become self-supporting while allowing children to remain in their own homes. Pregnant women may also receive TCA. Parents, children and minor siblings who live together must apply together. We can help you determine if you are eligible.

Telecommunications (SafeLink)

SafeLink Wireless is a free phone program for income-eligible households provided by TracFone Wireless, Inc. In order to participate in this program, individuals must meet certain eligibility requirements set by Florida. We can help you determine if you are eligible.

We connect clients to tools that help them gain control of their health and lead healthier lives:

Affordable Care Act navigation (Obamacare)

We assist clients with navigating the health insurance marketplace and understanding their options for purchasing affordable healthcare.

Low-cost/No-cost healthcare access

We help eligible clients gain access to free healthcare in safety net programs.


We guide low-income individuals and families through the application process for obtaining Medicaid coverage.


We assist parents with obtaining low-cost healthcare insurance for their children.

Health coaching
(This service is currently offered in Homestead, FL)

We work one-on-one with clients living with chronic disease and illness to better manage their health and to access support services.
