Keep Cancer-Causing Toxins Out of Our Communities
Stop Radioactive Roads in FL
Urge Governor Desantis to stop HB 1191/SB 1258! This bill will allow Florida’s Dept. of Transportation to use a cancer-causing material — prohibited by the EPA — in road construction. When it rains, those chemicals seep into our water and air. This would harm our environment and ALL Floridians’ health.

FPL Rate Case Hearing
In Florida, we all work hard to keep the lights on and keep our homes cool in this unprecedented heat.
But while we're just trying to make ends meet, Florida Power & Light (FPL) has raised our bills by $400 on average since 2021. Our communities are being left in the dark; from March 2024 to February 2025, FPL shut off 1.216 M residential customers for non-payment — about a fifth of all their residential customers.
Now FPL is requesting $10 billion in rate increases — the largest request in U.S. history.
If their request is approved, FPL would bring in a whopping 50 cents of profit for every dollar. Our hard-earned money shouldn't line the pockets of greedy corporations.
FPL and its regulators can choose to provide clean and affordable energy to residents across South Florida — but only if we come together across races, places, and backgrounds to hold them accountable.
We’ve worked together in the past to change their minds, and we can do it again.
