Nicole Gazo *(she/her) | Climate Justice Engagement Manager

As a LatinX woman born and raised in South Florida, as well as a graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a concentration in Ecosystem Science and Policy from the University of Miami, Nicole’s passion for climate justice is deeply rooted in purpose and passion. As a high school student she was very involved with the CLEO Institute, including coming up with her own curriculum to implement across multiple schools. From there, she attended the University of Miami, successfully leading a fossil fuel divestment campaign, and continuing to work with CLEO. Nicole continued her organizing work with Florida Student Power and Youth Action Fund, working to mobilize young people towards meaningful climate action. As the Climate Justice Engagement Manager, Nicole oversees the Miami Climate Alliance membership and supports with outreach strategies across the organization.
