Roshan Nebhrajani Bransden | Physician and Journalist

Roshan was born and raised in South Florida and loves everything about this weird and wonderful place. She has training in both journalism and medicine and believes her power lies in that intersection. She trained in Journalism at Northwestern University and received her MD at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Family and Social Medicine in the Bronx, New York at Montefiore, where her passion for health equity was forged. She feels grateful to serve on the board of Catalyst Miami to help advance access to healthcare for all Miamians. She currently works as a primary care physician and also teaches medical students where she was trained, at FIU's College of Medicine.

She also continues to publish freelance journalism and dabbles in creative writing and photography, loves camping, and now at the big age of 35, is finally learning how to actually swim. Most of all, she loves following her daughter through Miami's many mangroves and mango trees, marveling at how she absorbs the world. She lives in Miami with her husband and daughter.
