Shayna Johnson *(she/her) | Senior Director of Grassroots Leadership

Shayna Johnson serves as the Senior Director of Grassroots Leadership at Catalyst Miami, where she oversees leadership programs that develop and mobilize local leaders to shape the future of their communities. Her work builds pathways for cooperative leadership by equipping participants with the skills needed and opportunities to work collectively, share decision-making power, and drive systemic change.

Before joining Catalyst Miami, Shayna was Head of Education at a social impact consulting firm, where she led workforce development, leadership, and community engagement programs for clients including Columbia University. She brings additional experience in strategic planning, operations, and people management from her work in the private sector.

Shayna earned an MBA with a focus on Social Enterprise from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Spelman College. Outside of work, Shayna enjoys spending time in nature soaking up the sunshine, traveling, teaching yoga, and dancing Haitian Konpa, lyrical, and more.
