JOB TITLE: Community Prosperity Director

SALARY: $55,000-$65,000

SUMMARY: Oversees the asset-building programs of the organization, including identification,
development, execution, marketing and distribution of financial and service-delivery models and
products for Catalyst Miami clients and partners. Serves as internal expert and thought leader
on social and economic mobility, financial inclusion, financial capability, financial services, etc.
regularly presents at local and national conferences and contributes to white and/or concept
papers about the work of Catalyst Miami and the Prosperity Campaign.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements strategy for new or existing financial products and services.
  • Establishes partnerships with banking partners, credit unions, software providers and
    other financial institutions, including CDFIs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and issues identified from analysis of client data.
  • Responsible for staffing main office and off-site locations to ensure balanced schedule.
  • Manage staffing needs against grant deliverables and department goals.
  • Oversees, assigns, and evaluates the work of Prosperity Campaign.
  • Develops and oversees complex program budgets and program deliverables.
  • Remain up-to-date on national, state, and local policy implications for income, wealth and
    economic development
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, and data trends.
  • Responsible for developing 12 month programming for the Prosperity Campaign
  • Participate in reports and proposals to meet project goals and funding opportunities
  • Identifies program and service delivery enhancements to existing program model.
  • Serves as internal and external thought leader on building prosperity and upward
    mobility as it relates to low wealth communities.
  • Contributes to grant proposals, reports, white papers, concept papers as requested by
    management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly supervises five employees within the Prosperity program.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and
    applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, recruiting, and training employees; planning,
    assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
    employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Language: Professional working proficiency in oral and written English. Proficiency in
    oral and written Spanish and/or Haitian Creole.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: 8
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of other web-based
    platforms.
  • Certification or License: Certification in the Department of Children and Families, VITA
    Advanced and Site Coordinator, Florida Department of Financial Services Resident
    Navigator, Neighborworks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling
    Financial Capability
  • Training: HIPPA, ACCESS Civil Rights, Security Awareness, HHS-Deaf Services, Voter
    Registration, Access Self-Service Portal, Florida Kidcare, FAFSA, MoneySmart, VITA Link
    & Learn Intake Interview and Quality Review, Financial Confidence, Financial Coaching,
    and Financial Education Neighborworks Center for Homeownership Education and
    Counseling Trainings (or must be attained within 60 days of hiring)
  • Other skills: Prior banking and/or financial product delivery experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work in a shared-workspace environment
  • Stretch and bend to organize and distribute materials for Catalyst Miami activities
  • Able to sit at desk for long periods of time and utilize computer for extended periods
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate organization needs, including evening
    and weekends. Out of town travel may be required.
