Melanie Garman recently joined TD Bank as Community Development Compliance Manager, leading the bank's efforts in identifying community development lending and community reinvestment activities. Prior to TD, Melanie was the Regional Community Development Manager for Truist Bank where she engaged with non-profit organizations, and local government to promote affordable housing and business development. Melanie has over 30 years of banking experience, serving in leadership positions in regulatory compliance and community reinvestment at financial institutions in South Florida. Melanie is an advocate for fair housing and fair lending and has worked throughout her career to ensure fair and responsible banking.
