Meet Rekiya, also known as Ms. Iya, the urban woman connecting people from all cultures through networking, events, advocacy and more. As a facilitator and founder of the IYA Foundation (Influencing Youth Advancement), Iya has committed herself to being a catalyst for the people. She has great commitment to many organizations such as Catalyst Miami, Miami Dade Parks and Conservation Committee, and the Miami Beach Community Church where she is the coordinator for the Youth Ministry. As a 2022 Legacy Miami 40 under 40 awardee, “Leaders of Today and Tomorrow”, Iya takes great pride in working collectively with organizations and families to provide resources and assistance throughout Miami-Dade County.
