Underdeck Miami: Get Involved in the Process!

August 25, 2022 at 6:30pm - 8:30pm“The Underdeck” is coming to Miami and it’s going to be big. But, for it to be done in a way that harms no one, community priorities must be centered in the planning. When more of us show up, we can influence decisions and get accountability.
This project has the potential to do a lot of good for our city, but it could also bring negative changes to the neighborhood—unless we ask the important questions now.
How will we avoid gentrification and displacement? How will we make sure this doesn’t lead to heavier policing in Black and brown communities?
Anyone can join the planning process at any point. There’s strength in numbers, so invite your friends! Let’s get involved, ask questions, and make sure our presence is known!
